Returning for a second bite at the apple is Nashville’s Bryan “The Mannequin” Penland.  Last year proved disastrous.  Penland’s home quota of 21 points did not translate to the Southern Pines courses.  His quota ratcheted down each day until he withdrew from Sunday’s round.  He will open at 15 this year, which may be low enough to at least register an RVF.  The Mannequin will again team with Chuck “Diesel” Cormier.
