Defending Turtle Champion Richard “Purple Rain” Matlock rode a stellar final round at Mid Pines to claim 2019’s event.  Reminiscent of Hogan at Merion, Matlock was laser focused in his drive for the Turtle.  He’ll be back with traditional partner Mike "Grissly Adams" King as he seeks to defend the Turtle.  His newly raised quota may be daunting in that effort, however.
